For accommodations, check for hotel packages or transient homes that you can rent and compare to see which one will save you more money. If you have a big family, it will be cheaper to rent a transient home rather than book many rooms in a hotel. Another benefit of renting your own house is that you can cook your own food instead of dining in restaurants, which will cost you more dollars.

4. Make a list of the things that you can do while on vacation. Create your itinerary to maximize your days of vacation with your family. Research on tourist spots, delicious food and other activities you can enjoy while on vacation. Some tourist attractions like museums offer free entrance.
